Flip Book Animation Workshop for Kids

Vaibhav Kumaresh, assisted by Mahboob Raja (Head of Animation Production at Vaibhav Studios) conducted a full day flip book making workshop for a group of 40 children from four different NGOs working towards the betterment of the disadvantaged children (NGOs: Aarambh, Doorstep School, Pankhudi Foundation and Vidya). The children were accompanied by their representatives and teachers. The workshop was organized by Mohile Parikh Center, NCPA  Mumbai on Saturday, 19 December, 2009. TASI in Kolkata

Flip Book Animation Workshop for underprivileged kids

The Animation Society of India, in collaboration with the Mohile Parikh Center (NCPA, Mumbai) is conducting a full day Flip Book Animation Workshop for underprivileged kids from various NGOs across Maharashtra on Saturday, 19th December 2009 at NCPA, Mumbai.

Vaibhav Kumaresh will introduce the fascinating world of animation to a group of 40 children by screening a variety of animation films so that they can get a feel of the medium. He will then demonstrate how a series of single drawings/ images when played at a certain speed, create the illusion of movement. The children will then be given papers and pencils to doodle page by page. Once they have completed their drawings, they will put together their pages with a rubber band and flip them to see the animation they have created!
