Sanjiv is a well known animation director and founder of ICE CANDY Studio, Mumbai. He is the creator of various animated TV Series. Apart from being an established director, Sanjiv is passionate about drawing. He loves to explore character designs and illustrations using ink on paper.
In this session we will explore Sanjiv’s artistic journey and his working style.
A self-trained artist and professionally trained Animation Film Designer, Kunal works as an art consultant, animation film maker and illustrator for various national and international organisations. He is a multi award winning polymath creative with a penchant for working in different media and styles. However, Kunal has a special liking for traditionally created art. He creates by crumpling paper into sculptures and ‘crumpled paper art’ is his signature style. He has recently made oil pastels as his other favorite medium.
Winning the Gold Award in the scientific illustration category for Global Illustration Award 2016 and the Gold Medal in the creativity category for International Art Professionals Awards 2021 are a couple of notable recognitions achieved by Kunal. His debut children’s book Wildlife on Paper has also won a few literary awards, notable amongst them are Eureka! Honor Award 2021 and Gold Medal recipient of the Moonbeam Spirit Awards, 2021.
Kunal stays with his family in Kolkata, India and spends his time writing and making art for children’s books and teaching art and design to students of various design schools around India as a visiting faculty. HOD of SRFTI.
Somneel is a proficient illustrator, painter, sculpture & installation artist with a career sharp as the artist’s pen spanning over fifteen years. He has collaborated with numerous prestigious individuals and organizations during this time.
Somneel’s journey as an artist began with his renowned portraits of iconic personalities worldwide, including Saint Teresa, Bill Clinton, Sachin Tendulkar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pt. Ravi Shankar, Maqbul Fida Hussain and Diego Maradona. His work as a Installation artist was recognised by the West Bengal Government as a Maa Durga mural & sculpture made by him was permanently installed in the City of Joy.
Presently Somneel is the owner, co-founder and Studio Head of Createon Games, a digital game art studio intricately involved in the game industry, working on substantial game projects worldwide. He resides in Kolkata with his wife and son.
