We once had only 3 visual elements to our filmmaking – live action, VFX & Animation. Gaming and filmmaking were once near-exclusive silos. With the emergence of the immersive world & the widening spectrum of gaming engines widening, there are several new visual tools now available. With volumetric capture, photogrammetry, object tracking, camera tracking and motion tracking on top of the gaming engines, we can now create Virtual Productions that are not restricted by erstwhile physical limitations. In such a world, how do you reimagine the visual aspects of filmmaking?
This session will deconstruct the approach to understanding the new tools at our disposal and how they need to be combined with the existing visual tools to create Virtual Productions.
